Article Comments Today, 12:54 PM by Eric M. Zeman @phonescooper Facebook today announced several new music-based features headed to the social network. First, users can now add a song to photos and videos shared through Facebook Stories. When posting photos or videos via the Facebook Camera or device camera roll, a new music sticker appears that allows users to find a song they want to add to their photo/video. The artist and song name will be visible to those who view the post. Facebook says it has also extended Lip Sync Live to more people and artists around the world, allowing creators to expand their Pages and give them more freedom to connect with fans. Lip Sync Live now includes lyrics, which are rolling out slowly for popular songs. Last, Facebook plans to let people add songs to a forthcoming music section on their profile, as well as pin a song to the top of their profile. Songs added to user profiles will showcase the artist and track, and in some cases a video of the artist when viewed by others. These new features are being deployed over the next few weeks. I’m Cassity from Remodelaholic. I am so excited to be here at Not Just A Housewife to share with you some of our greatest projects. We love Stacy and that she put together this fun Meet the Blogger Swap. Let me tell you a little bit about us. My husband and I have been blogging for 10 years about all of our remodeling adventures. We’ve remodeled seven houses. Our blog began as a way to show our family and friends our projects and it has grown from there. Let’s start off with this one of our favorite spaces. We have a whole bunch of projects all wrapped into this beautiful area. It started with a simple way to add texture to the walls with board and batten. Check out how we added this wall technique in our board and batten wall tutorial. Then we worked in an extra special element with a cool dutch door. We have building plans and instructions to get the look of this lovely dutch barn door look. And last, but definitely not least the Swedish mora clock. We love it in yellow, but paint it any color to match your style. A good sturdy bench is sure to add function, fun, and design to any entryway. Build a bench out of 2×6’s with our building plans for entryway seating in a functional stylish way. Add extra storage with galvanized metal bins or other baskets! Pillows on top add a little comfort and texture. Entertaining and relaxing outdoors is one of our favorites. We’ve created a lot of one of a kind pieces to enjoy in our outdoor space. One of our favorites outdoor projects is from last summer, this garden arbor built from structural lumber. To go right along with a beautiful garden arbor, add an outdoor table space for entertaining with this lovely waterfall edge cooler table is gorgeous. Keep the drinks cool and have space to set snacks or games. And don’t forget, lots of outdoor seating. This awesome outdoor sectional is made from plywood, but it turned out so pretty and functional. We even designed it with a place to store the cushions. Add a pretty outdoor rug and it ties the space all together. On Remodelaholic we share a whole bunch of great home decor and DIY ideas! We love to share Fixer Upper Get the Look rooms, building plans, and more. We are also obsessed with anything DIY. From tile, to building, to decorating we do a little bit of everything. Adding a touch of trendy and glamour is an excellent form of bringing Halloween to your home in a more modern way. From glass pumpkins to simple touches of black these bits, you need for Fall and might even want to keep all-year-round. Here are some trendy Halloween decorations for witchy, Spooktacular style. Linen PumpkinsPumpkins are a signature staple of Halloween, so much so that they come in multiple different sizes, colors, textures and even aesthetic. However, for a more upgraded appeal add an array of linen pumpkins to bring a chic elegance that makes a beautiful display in your home. Group together pumpkins that come in multiple different sizes for a broad variety that bring a chic feel to your table. Wooden PumpkinsAnother excellent option for those that want a more rustic feel to their Halloween décor. Add in wooden pumpkins instead of any other ones. Having handcrafted wood pumpkins is perfect for an additional touch of rustic without compromising your décor. You might even want to display outdoors as well if you do remember they will never go out of style or grow mold- a win-win for all. Bring on the GlitzFor a stylish touch that does not take away from your current décor, purchase traditional Halloween decorative bits in a glittery or silver finish. Having a contrast between the two is perfect for those times you want traditional festive décor that will not have to be changed once the holiday is over. Keep it simple, by having glittery pumpkins as they main highlight of your home. Witchy WreathDo not underestimate how beautiful witchy wreaths can be. Welcome your witchy friends with an edgy yet spooky wreath hanging from your door. Having this touch sets the feel of your home in a seamless manner. You will want to choose a few wreaths throughout your home to have that well-rounded appeal. You might even want to have your wreaths displayed in other areas of your home that is not your door. Areas such as your staircase and/or both. Keep it SimpleWhile most of us love to go the extra mile for the holidays, one of the best ways to ensure you have that trendy, spooky feel is by keeping it simple. Decorate with a monochromatic palette for a beautiful pairing that expands on the space without using the traditional colors. Furthermore, doing so allows you to decide if you want to keep your décor up for a bit longer then when the holiday is over. Don’t Forget your BackyardWhereas most décor tends to happen on the inside of your home, take your spooky bits outside. Hang cool Halloween lights or add fun pumpkins in multiple colors, textures, and sizes for a more upscale feel. Additionally, incorporate your fall colors for a more well-rounded feel that don’t necessarily scream Halloween instead it screams “holiday season” with a spooky twist. Gem-encrusted SkullsSkulls are quite the Halloween staple; however, it is quite easy to take decorating with them a bit too far and making the space feel cheesy. A simple way to avoid this is by bringing glamor to your décor with gem-encrusted skulls. Place them around your home for that touch of spooky that is quite chic and beautiful. Use skulls in different sizes for a daring pairing that has a classic touch to it. Black LaceAs much as lace can be feminine and appealing it can also be edgy and enchanting. Add hints of black lace as much as possible to bring out that spooky aesthetics that can also feel feminine in a unique type of way. Consider having black lace as part of your table décor or as an additional touch to your mantel. Mercury GlassMercury glass has become a top favorite for most seasons, not only is it beautiful to look at but it has that authentic spooky element to it. The key is having mercury glass worked into a display that mainly features other decorative elements with the same aesthetics. Doing so will bring a freshness to the area that seems cohesive and put together. For a more festive appeal add hints of orange and/or black for that classic Halloween touch. Dark and EdgyCrows are one of those animals that are symbolic of death, Halloween, darkness, and even mysterious moments. Therefore, having them as part of your décor is not only dark and edgy but its fun and contemporary. Whether you have them on the inside of your home for a spooky bit or you have them on the outside, crows take your décor to the next level with little to no hesitation. Halloween is right around the corner, which of these are you trying at home? Share with us your ideas in the comments below. Cost Plus World Market has an incredible selection of food – from traditional holiday food, to imported food, exotics chocolates and more! I picked out some delicious, easy food to create party appetizers. I put all of my food on a mobile bar cart which made getting things ready so easy. I prepared everything in the kitchen and then just rolled the cart over to the family room right before the party started! You can shop my party food and decor below! Bruschetta AppetizerI bought two different baguette crisps — garlic, chives and parsley and also olive oil and sea salt. Then I topped them with the yummiest artichoke and tomato and basil bruschetta toppings. I sprinkled some fresh herbs on top. SO easy! Gourmet PopcornI also made fresh flavored gourmet popcorn with a World Market popcorn kit . I popped the corn, then added the topping. I put each flavor in a bowl and added a little tag. There are so many cute holiday items at Cost Plus World Market. I thought a retro Christmas theme would be adorable for this party. White Hot Chocolate Drink BarTO make things super easy I made a big batch of white hot chocolate in my crock pot. I put this on about 5 hours before my party was scheduled to start. While the hot chocolate cooked I decorated and got things ready. It made the party so easy to throw. I found this amazing set of Red Heart Mugs I arranged the hot cocoa bar up on the top shelf of the bar cart. I put each of the toppings in a separate container — marshmallows, cookies, white chocolate chips, candy, peppermints, etc. You can add basically any type of toppings you want. Then I set the flavors out in front. When the guests came they took a mug, added the white hot cocoa from the crock pot and then came over to the cart and added the flavor they wanted and toppings! That way everyone could make their own ultimate hot cocoa creation! And for those guests that wanted milk chocolate cocoa – I found individual flavored mixes. So I decided to create a BINGO game you can play while you watch! Once everyone had their party food and sat down I handed out the movie bingo cards! We used marshmallows as game markers, While we watched the movie we marked off things we saw in the movie. Some of the markers are a tree, a kiss, a sled, etc. There are 8 different bingo cards and each one is different. Bingo PrizesI thought it would be fun to have bingo prizes. I found these beautiful Petal Lotus Capiz Candle holders at World Market. I wrapped each one in cellophane and added a tag. I decided to get one for each of my guests and we kept playing until everyone had scored a bingo! It was fun to send my friends home with a little memento from our holiday party. We love a spicy appetizer. If you arenât sure your guests will love a spicy appetizer, you can half the jalapenos for a milder version. Also you can substitute the jalapenos out completely for green chilis for a mellower version of this recipe. Serve the dip with sliced baguette bread or pita chips. YUM!! Powered by WPeMatico The post 15 Inspiring Interior Design Instagram Accounts to Follow appeared first on TepuyMagazine. via TepuyMagazine https://ift.tt/2D1oq8d Designing and planning a kitchen from scratch isn’t easy and if you want everything to be exactly the way you want it you have a lot of work to do. A good organization and some knowledge in the field can definitely come in handy but luckily we now also have a lot of apps and software programs which can help with this massive task. Some are very professional and details and some are more casual and market-oriented. Let’s quickly review some of the options. IKEA Home PlannerAs you can imagine, since this is a free product offered by Ikea, it’s more of a marketing tool than a detailed, stand-alone design program. The Ikea Online Kitchen Planner lets you pick a style and enter your measurements and then gives you the tools to furnish the space with Ikea products, offering a rough estimation at the end. SketchUpSketchUp is a 3D modeling tool which isn’t specifically designed for interior design purposes but can be very useful if you want to create a 3D rendering of what your dream kitchen could look like. You start by drawing lines and shapes and then pushing and pulling the surfaces to turn them into 3D forms and you don’t have to create everything from scratch because you can find ready-to-use models for pretty much everything. Sure, it might be missing a few things which professional architects might find useful but you shouldn’t have any problems creating a mockup of your kitchen using this software. ProdboardThe Prodboard online kitchen planner is a useful tool which allows users to style their kitchen using catalogue products and custom dimensions and colors after which they have the option to place an order. This puts the user in contact with furniture manufacturers so it’s a marketing tool with some useful functionality, similar to the Ikea planner. Home StylerWith HomeStyler you can design your home in 3D and visualize the space live so you get a better understanding of how it would look and feel like in real life. No installation is required since this is a browser service. You can use it to plan your entire kitchen and more and you can choose your favorite designs from a large collection of real furniture products. Of course, this means you’re limited to certain options which is not exactly great if you want your kitchen to be custom-made. Punch Design SoftwareFrom paid software such as Punch Interior Design Suite you can expect a whole lot more details and options. This one comes with all sorts of tools and features which allow you to design your kitchen (and other spaces) from scratch down to the smallest detail like the window treatments, light fixtures and more. You can experiment with different materials, colors and dimensions and try out different layouts and design solutions before you actually change anything in your home. One of the coolest things about this software is that it lets you import images to your designs. SmartDrawAnother tool you can use for planning and designing your new kitchen is SmartDraw. It’s not meant to only be a design program but you can use it as such by taking advantage of its numerous cool features and customization tools. With SmartDraw you can create floor plans and mockups and you can easily store and share your creations. Space Designer 3DIf you’re serious about creating and customizing your kitchen, Space Designer 3D is one of your best software options. With it you can draw your floor plan just the way you like, customize the interior design with your preferred materials and furniture pieces and then visualize your design in 2D or 3D and even explore it in VR using a mobile virtual reality headset. Virtual Architect Instant Makeover 2.0Virtual Architect Instant Makeover is another useful tool which can be used to design and customize both the interior and exterior of a space. It’s great for home improvement projects and makeovers and you can use it to visualize possible layouts and decors before committing to a real-life design. You can use your own digital photos in the process. Home Designer Interiors 2019Home Designer Interiors 2019 is another very useful piece of software which stands out from other similar options through the fact that in addition to its own built-in database containing thousands of objects it also offers access to a variety of third-party databases. This allows the user to enjoy a rich and customized experience and to design their kitchen exactly as desired. Being such a detailed tool with lots of different options, it takes a while to get used to the software and to actually learn how to use it. That being said, this is not the best option for casual users. Houzz appYou’re probably already familiar with Houzz. They have a great mobile app which is constantly updated and enriched with new features. The app lets users find inspiration by browsing tons of pictures and stories, to find tips and advice from professionals and also to see how furniture pieces, accessories and decorations would look like in their own home by adding them to their own photos. Planner 5DA lot of the more specialized, desktop apps we’ve mentioned earlier bring all sorts of tools and features which are definitely useful but which make the whole experience less simple and user-friendly. That’s why, by comparison, mobile apps such as Planner 5D are better for simpler tasks. With this app you can create a detailed plan for your kitchen without any professional skills and right from your mobile device. It’s great if all you want is to visualize how a certain design idea you have could look like in real-life or to explore several design possibilities so you can then choose your favorite one. Powered by WPeMatico The post Kitchen Design Software That Lets You Unleash Your Creativity appeared first on TepuyMagazine. via TepuyMagazine https://ift.tt/2PUAlYu Halloween is most fun when you share the excitement with others so even if you have to work that day you can still make the most of this holiday by decorating your office, cubicle, desk and whatever else you want. We’re actually very excited about doing this ourselves so we did some research and compiled a list of some awesome decoration ideas. Check them out below. Prep your desk and cubicle for Halloween and create a spooky but not too complicated decor where the monitor is a house frame ready to receive a roof. Add a table lamp for a spooky glow and some extra house silhouette ornaments. You can make them out of black felt. Line the cubicle walls with orange paper or fabric for a cool contrast. You can find more awesome ideas like this one on Pinterest. Turn your cubicle into a tiny house of horrors. Put a roof over it (you can use some black fabric for this and maybe you can hang it with rope or cord from the ceiling. You can line the walls with some faux spider web and add some spooky red string lights. Check out Pinterest for more inspiration. There’s no need to completely transform your cubicle to make it Halloween-ready. After all, you still need to be productive so keep your main workspace clean and hang some decorations in the background. You could use faux spider web and string lights to create a spooky vibe. You could put some candy on your desk too so others can have a reason to come by. The inspiration here comes from a post we found on Facebook. Another cool idea can be to make your cubicle look like a crime scene. This would take a bit of prepping and you don’t really have to replicate this particular idea from Pinterest as there are many other suggestive methods you could use. Focus on blood but don’t make a mess because you’ll have to clean it up once Halloween is over. Think of Halloween as the bring-a-skeleton-to-work-day. This can be your co-worker for a day and you can invite it in your cubicle. It will have to sit on the desk but that’s ok because comfort isn’t really a priority. This is yet another inspiring idea which you can find on Pinterest along with many others. Even small and cute skeletons are a bit spooky but the inflatable ones tend to be a bit less intimidating. This one is quite adorable, so adorable than it completely distracted us from everything else going on here. This cubicle looks like an old and dusty library and you too can create that impression with the right fabric or with printed paper. Check out google+ for more inspiring pictures. Vampires eventually die too and their skulls are rare and precious so if you can get your hands on one you should definitely put it on display. Maybe you could bring it to work and put it on your desk along with a few other Halloween-themed items like witch cauldron lanterns and such. If you’re not really the type who likes to hang lots of tiny decorations and to go all out on Halloween, there might still be a way to customize your workspace in a cool way. You could tie your chair with heavy chains, suggesting that you’re a prisoner at the workplace. Hopefully your boss won’t be offended. On the other hand, if you’re the type who takes Halloween cubicle decor very seriously, you could actually go all out. You can find some inspiration on reddit. That’s where we found this awesome setup. It actually looks spooky and you tell that it was a serious project. Your cubicle decor doesn’t have to follow a particular theme and you can mix and match various types of ornaments just to create a spooky Halloween vibe. You won’t really break any rules if you put witches and vampires in the same room. Once again, Pinterest can offer you a lot of great ideas for this sort of project. Halloween is not just about spooky costumes and decorations but about sweet, delicious treats too so it would be nice to set up a table in the office with candy and other things for everyone to enjoy. You can find some awesome decor ideas for this particular task on Pinterest. Maybe you could hang a sign and some themed balloons too. Another nice suggestion from Pinterest is to make the office decor part spooky and part fun. A few well-placed decorations can make all the difference. Faux spider web is a classic but you can be creative and add a few other things to the mix as well. We really like this “proceed with candy” sign. It has a cheerful vibe but it’s also Halloween-ish which is a nice combo.
